It is getting to closer to Halloween and to moving out of Villa Torre.

October 26

Monday. I hate them. Finally finished with most of my concert photos. Here are some from Rob Thomas and SlipKnot.

Speaking of which. Rob Thomas had a special guest, Carlos Santana. Because of this special appearance the Event Center had to be on lock down. Meaning, that no one was allowed to be in the hallways before Santana arrived and after he had performed and left.

I couldn't even access any of my photoshoot points because of him. I had to stand way in the back in order to shoot Santana.

After SlipKnot I have been giving my photos to the Spartan Daily, our college newspaper, for more publicity. I should keep doing this.

October 27 - 29

I need a costume idea. But I do not know what I want to be. Been kicking with Jade ALOT. She's cute. I think I like her.

I took her to visit my new roommates at their apartment before getting a tour of the new place. We talked with Mark Lazo for at least 2 hours before he handed us keys to the new place.

October 30-31

Moving day.

All week I have been moving in stuff out of Villa Torre. Luckily Christian O and Patrick Ho found a new place. I will visit them once I am done moving in the Brokaw spot. I couldn't have asked for a better place.

I did not get to go out for Halloween because as soon as I was finished moving in, it was already late and all the parties have ended.

Rob Zombie next month, photos will be uploaded soon. Will submit some to Spartan Daily.

Crazy Concert Month. Brand New, SlipKnot, The Big Show, Rob Thomas.

October 19

This was the day after The Big Show concert. Now I am stacked with at least two days of concert photos consisting of fans and Band Members.

I will definitely make tons of cash by the end of this month. Next week I've got a Rob Zombie concert to shoot. Sweet.

October 20-22

As always. Skipping class for work. Hanging out with Jade for a little drank and stuff. Going to bars with her. But she lost her ID so that is on a hold.

October 23

Rob Thomas Concert tonight.

It is going to be fun. I need more gear and my loan!

October 24

I wrote down Morris Daily concert, but then I forgot what I did today, I will add post later.

Concert This Week. I am now Event Center's newest and only photographer.

October 12

Today Event Center's floor transition from the finest pinewood for Basket Ball Courts became slabs of concrete. Apparently the idea was to have the floor concrete so that we wouldn't have to keep laying down plastic tiles every time there was a non-basketball event since basketball season is only in the fall semester. Now, every time there is a basketball game we have to lay out a basketball court in the middle of the arena.

I believe this has become much of a hassle. There is concrete dust EVERYWHERE. Even up in the cat walks and on the seats. You can pretty much make concrete snow angels after all your clothes become grey from just walking through the arena.

Now it takes about 3+ hours just to lay the BBall court down and 3+ hours to tear it apart.

However, now we get to treat the floor with much pain, especially when we move around heavy equipment, and we can now drive vehicles onto the arena safely and without damage to the fine wood floors.

October 13-15

There is dust everywhere! I have been neglecting my classes for the sake of trying to achieve a grand at the end of every month so that I can take out my student loan. I get paid this weekend, so I will be able to better monitor my progress. Good shit.

I took on tons of hours this week, even work hours that conflicted with my class schedule. I'm sorry class, but I am in dire straits right now and I need to concentrate on living rather than studying.

I stepped in shit today with my favorite or every day pair of black and grey Nike Blazers after my late shift on Thursday. Fuuuuuck. They had this grey etching of sketches remincent of Pooh Bear and friends and a gum bottom. I wanted to take a picture of them, but instead I threw them away because I couldn't stand the smell.

October 16

Brand New concert tonight. I was asked earlier this week to take photos of Brand New. I'm stoked and ready to shoot. Here I go.

October 17- October 18.

Spent the whole weekend processing photographs from the concert. I can't post them up here, or I will get in trouble sorry. But you should check out the Event Center's face book page when you get the chance.

From here on out:

Life is getting really busy at the moment. So in order to combat the daily routine of my busy life, I will just do a weekly round up and only highlighting the important days as they come.

October 7th and October 8th.

I didn't do much these days. I just worked, went to school, hung out with Jade Mundy, and went to bed.

I did my homework and for the usual, I drank just a little and had a funny cigarette with Jade.

October 9th.

I penciled in Helium photo shoot. But instead I went to work after I had requested it off. I need to make at least one thousand bucks by the end of each month starting now for the next three months in order to get my student loan from Wellsfargo.

Tonight I also worked Campus Movie Fest '09 here on campus. As always my favorite film came out of the Film Production Society. I am a little biased towards this group because two years ago I released a short titled, "Mass Transit" which won Best Drama.

This year they released a short titled, "Top of Her Class." Last year it was, "Tighter than You." They are really pushing out comedies since. The best comedies in fact.

A new contender, Friday Night Films submitted an action short titled, "Ill Will." I can honestly say, that the mass arrival of HD films have really pushed the bar on how to make movies. "Ill Will" had some of the best cinematography out of an amateur film group.

I was very impressed.

October 10 to October 11, Saturday and Sunday.

I tried to spend the rest of the weekend on homework and moving out. But I just relaxed and played some video games and hung out with Agnes, Carina, and Jade as always.

I will end procrastination... tomorrow.

Took Jade Mundy to her doctor's appointment this morning. Tuesday is my days free.

Afterwards, she treated me to breakfast at her place. Hung out at her place for a bit, and we both passed out on her couches.

Whatever,

I was able to capture the Atomic Fashion show tapes, fill in some show reports for work, do some studying.

I still gotta edit them.

Right now, it's 1:13 at night I'm at Agnes's and finishing up the last bits of homework. Tomorrow I get to see Anni and Mark's new place and I will decide whether I want to live with them or my roommates now.

Note to self, end procrastination tomorrow.

Footnotes from San Diego Trip:
Rhea's dogs Nala, a pitbull, and Marley, a Doberman, are two of the dopest and smartest dogs of all. I wish I had taken pictures of them. I need to go photo crazy my friends from the journalist department. And I need to upload the photos by the end of the week.

The day after a weekend.

After getting back from SoCal on Monday, I decided to skip all my classes, but at least I checked the green sheets to them to make sure I wasn't missing anything totally major. I should stop skipping classes, I had already taken a week off from classes last week in preparation of the Atomic Fashion show that happened last week and after barely dodging a midterm that has been pushed back until a week after.

I went to the Helium Photographer's meeting late and we went over the couple of shooting assignments for October.

I really need to work on the videos that I have since September and also need to shoot more.

I can't help but put Helium on the back burner of things, especially when it is a new semester and I need to move out of place before the 31st.

Later this evening, I hit up Jade Mundy and once again she had been me at Speed and Frustration even though we had killed the bottle of Morgan left over from my SoCal trip. We failed to finish the movie, Sex Drive. And instead she spent the night.

Rhea's Birthday Weekend Part III (Awesome stop over)

It was Sunday, October 4, 2009.

The last day of the trip and the night after Dave and Buster's.

We did what we had to: packed up our things and loaded up the car. Chona, Rhea, Christina, and I had our lunch at Souplantation. Souplantation is just like Fresh Choice. I'm not one for vegetarian spots, but after two nights of drinking in San Diego plus two nights of partying before leaving, something healthy is what I needed.

I really like how, even though this was considered a healthy spot, there are still some people in here who still stay for about 5 rounds of food. Five rounds of greens and heavy salad dressing is still not healthy, and the fact that they serve garlic bread and cheese pizza here does not help the healthy cause either.

Thank you, but I will stick with my one plate of salad and side soup with light coconut mango mouse. Let's continue our story, we parted ways at Rhea's place. Rhea took Chona to the airport, Christina and I drove to Kayla's parents place.

Moving on. From San Diego I decided to make a stop-over at Downtown Disney as we were approaching the exit. It did not take long to convince Rhea and Christina to agree to stop-over especially at about 7 at night and Christina having class the next morning. Christina just decided to skip class, and if Christina skips class in the morning, Kayla ditches too.

Since I am writing this in retrospect, I also skipped my classes the next day, even though I had said I would have enough time to make it as soon as we got back to San Jose.

Totally legendary stop over. As soon as we parked our car, we took three shots of the Captain Morgan we had left over since the Friday we came in. We perused the streets of Downtown Disney for something to eat. Man, is it over priced there. But hey, it is our last night in Socal, so why not make it our last hurrah, right? We decided to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. They gave us an hour wait, so we hit up a bar.

After getting shot down at the over crowded ESPN restaurant (the Chargers were playing against Pittsburgh and they lost) we found our way to the UVA bar in the middle of Downtown Disney.

This is where the trouble began. I treated Kayla and my sister to jolly rancher and a vodka with cranberry both with a dash of pineapple juice. Little did I know that Kayla was a lightweight, and already her American Pie's Stifler side came out. My sister calls this side "Kayla's Invisible Dick."

Kayla just had to learn everyone who served us there names. "Hi, what's your name? Ern? Hi, Ern! Hi, what's your name?" Kayla repeated like parakeet stuck in an rehab meeting.

I don't remember much about this night. All I remember was ordering a round of White Russians with her at the Rain Forest Cafe bar and Scooby Snack when we got to our tables. And trying to find the Men's bathroom in a Safari-esque hallway behind a jungle door that was camouflaged with a jungle print that matched the walls. I swear I spent 30 minutes in a hallway smaller than your average house hold's walk in closet trying to find the handle to the bathroom. I also remember trying to get our parking validated at the Rainforest Cafe Bar and the bartender saying, oh it's you guys I remember you guys. He validated our ticket and let us out.

After unpacking my stuff, I found a list of names on a sheet of paper from that night. I suspect it was all the names that Kayla tried to learn from that night. And directions to another bar on our way from San Diego.

The note read, "From I-5 exit [illegible writing] to [more illegible writing] bar because it is "crackin on the weekends and dope."

We left Downtown Disney with all of us pretty buzzed, and Kayla drunk as hell. As soon as we got in our car, she passed out with all the pillows and blankets loaded in the back seat. About 3 hours of driving we exited Glendale from the I-5 and found a place to park our car near the Burbank Shopping Center to pass out and for me to sober up and get some energy.

We got to San Jose at around 7:00 Monday morning.

Rhea's Birthday Weekend in San Diego Part II (Life over chicken wings and onion rings)

(Cont.)

Beach time. Mission Beach in San Diego that is. Chill and relaxing. I wish I had taken more pictures and had explored the beach more. It kind of reminded me of Santa Cruz, CA from up North. We came in around three in the afternoon. Weather was nice, just like yesterday's. Sun was out, warm with a cool breeze, but a little too cold to take a dive.

I like how beaches remind of how I need to hit the gym again, and how it reminds me of how I need to start training in boxing again. The view was very nice, no matter how young or old.

About the view:
At work, sometimes co-workers and I would take our mobile cart around, a.k.a. the Cushman, just to check out the campus hotties walking around. The view in other words, view equals girls. And this Fall '09 semester, the view is definitely nice.

But I digressed, back to the beach. Well at the beach I spilled the beans of how I made Girl A cheat on her husband back in November and how the start of my January to May relationship with Girl's A with Girl B nemesis which I did not know until later in that relationship later caused a divorce between Girl A and her hubby. Which now lead to Girl B starting a relationship with Husband because they have been best friends ever since high school despite the hate and turmoil between Girl A and Girl B. The party of Rhea, Chona, and Christina, were not supposed to know, ever.

I think it was because I had brought up the fact that I hang out with Jade Mundy a lot recently. So much it fools my magazine staff to thinking that we are a couple. But in fact we are not.

Anyway, in contrast to last night, the beach was much needed for recovery and much needed foundation to the more drinking and fun that would ensue later in the evening. Had some awesome ice cream; fried banana (turon) topped with ice cream.

After we had our fill of sun and the fact that the sun was retreating, we headed back to Rhea's place to get ready for dinner and D and B's right after a quick stop at the nearest Target.

Korean food. Korean food at Tofu House. This was my first time ever having Korean food. And oh, man do Koreans know how to make hot stone rice bowls legit. I had Hot Stone Bowl Meat Party... hehe, Meat Party... If Korean food was a woman, I wouldn't mind being caught eating her out in public... (okay that sounded gross, but it's late and I have to write a blog everyday for my Photo 115 class, and I'm tired).

Amongst the free servings of Kim chi, Christina and Chona had the hot bowl of Kim chi wit beef and Rhea had some soup. To fill in our savory gaps, I ordered fried tofu and Rhea had a stone plate of Bu gou gi (I think that's how you spell it) which reminded me a lot of Mongolian BBQ beef without all that sauce

I swear my stomach has no limits, because I devoured my food and everyone elses' leftovers. And I'm still not full.

Dave and Buster's. Always a good choice. It speaks to my inner video game child and it quenches my thirst for alcohol to always make any fun night amazing. And I've taken most of my dates to Dave and Buster's and created a game called "D&B Olympics," which is pretty self explanatory.

We all rocked Basketball as always. Skeeball sucked as always. And horse racing was shit. Virtual Jump rope was cool.

On my sister's first try, she managed to win the jack pot to Flaming Finger. And before that she had managed to knock down hella coins in the coin dropping game. FTW.

The best game of them all was:

Nascar Racing. Hands down.

The races were fast and furious (lame reference to a movie). I pitted my pedal punching and stick shifting skills to the likes of Rhea and Chona first round, and took first place. I can't let girls prove the better to a man's driving ability. I would not accept it.

But Rhea drives dirty, she causes other drivers to crash and flip over. I retract my previous statement earlier but she did manage to flip me over and win first place...bitch.

Then we called for a round of drinks. I treated them with shots of alien secretion and electric lemonades.

Nascar again. Four players: Chona, Rhea, Christina, and I. I finished First one game. Second game was a total scam.

Here how it boiled down:
It was the last lap. I was gaining ground on Rhea. We started coming up to a left bank turn and I had managed to catch up to her side. I was gaining lead fast, and I was inside of the turn. I managed to wedge her between me and the wall and I had caused her to crash and flip. I took first.

It was the last stretch and in awesome glory I punched it hard and leisurely laid down on the seat hammock style. Easy break, right.

Then at the last second Christina barrels down and aggressively nudges my car to the side and wins by a photo finish split second. Lame. It was literally a millisecond difference when we compared our finish times. My sister describes it as: "While you guys were doing your thing I just decided to swoop on in and take first."

I hate you.

We all celebrated and D&B's were closing. Christina's gambling addiction hit with Flaming Finger. She dedicated herself into winning jackpot again. Chona and Rhea demolished Time Crisis 3. And I took a break from it all and hung out with Raynelle, his GF, Kayla and Vince. After all things were said and done. We took our bucket of tickets to the counter.

We amounted about 1200 tickets that night.

The night couldn't end here, and at about 1:30 in the morning, Denny's late night always pulls through. Always. Even in San Jose and in Sacramento.

Many of nights ended at Denny's. Getting drunk and stealing a poster of Vida Guerra from a random house I walked into thinking it was the right party house, and my prom nights before going to a hotel parties ended with Denny's.

Let's get to the clit of the story (yea I said it, because it's Sunday, I'm about to go home and I'm feeling to get some action).

1) Pick a domesticated animal and state three reasons why you did.

2) Pick a wild animal and state three reasons why you did.

3) If you were stranded on an island by yourself, what is your first thought.

4) If you were stranded in a forest by yourself, what is your first thought.

Those are some psychology questions we asked Chona and Rhea to see their inner person. OOOooo scary. I'll tell you what the questions answer after this blog.

And then somehow we got to the philosophy of:

If you were attacked by anything, whether you live or die is God's decision because God decides when it is time for you to die.

Which lead to the debate: If God decides for you to die, and you were attacked by a person. Murder is justified and right because God willed it. Thus, the person is not in the wrong because he was performing murder under God's will.

Hmm... food for thought. Vince stated, "I think God decides when you die, but not how you die."

Another debate: Is homosexuality inherited or influenced?

I posed this question because there are some things I like but cannot explain. So I think it is inherited, but it is true that some things that I like, such as the color blue, or power tools, I take a fondness too because of influenced gender roles.

Which then lead to the discussion of free will and destiny. We debated if free will and destiny can coincide. I said that free will is the freedom of making choices, but destiny has already decided a man's choices. So they cannot coincide.

Vince said he believes in multiple destinies that are dependent on the choices you make. And my sister said that the choices you make determine the degree of your destiny.

And then we got into the different thoughts of psychiatrists, psychologists, sociologist, and philosophers.

I think psychiatrist believe: if you are depressed, you are sad because of an chemical imbalance. Psychologist believe: if you are depressed, it is because of something in the past that is stored subconciously. The two fields concentrate on a much more individual level.

Sociologist, I think, state you are sad because of society is depressed, and philosophers; you are sad because the whole world is depressed. Interesting...

We ended the night talking about relationships and topping it off with:

A relationship is like a rubber band. If there's too much tension it will snap. If there's not enough, the rubber band doesn't work.

After having a security guard, which Rhea label a border patrol officer because he was wearing green, take our photo went back to Rhea's place, and Kayla and Vince to Vince's.

I think when we're all drunk lies a hidden philosopher in us.

I'll have pictures up later today... check back later.

The answers the questions reveal:
1) How you want people to view you.
2) How you view sex
3) How you perceive the world
4) How you perceive death.

Rhea's Birthday Weekend in San Diego (A start of my Photo 115 Blog Assignment)

So it has already been three or four weeks since this semester started and I haven't done a whole lot of blogging. For my Photo 115 class we are supposed to put up a blog everyday with a picture of our self. Well here goes one blog of the many I have missed.

Where am I right now?

I am in San Diego celebrating my friend's Rhea birthday weekend before her real birthday on Tuesday next week.

Today is the day after we; my sister, Kayla, and I; got in after an eight hour drive and after our first night out from On Broadway after an awesome night.

Let's recap our yesterday:
We left right after a Akbayan's Ma'boo'hay variety show. I was one on the audio team along with Kevin and Nick. It was about 11:30 at night when I was off. Midnight Kayla and my sister showed up after the show at my place so that we can leave and load up the car as fast as we can.

We left at 3 in the morning, Thursday. Got in about 11 in the morning in San Diego. I was super tired, I can not do long drives anymore. It was a total memory lane trip from last year when I dated Jade Mundy. After meeting up with Chona and Rhea, we went to the same Mexican food joint and the same shopping center Jade Mundy and I went to with her cousins... weird.

Anyway let's get to the good stuff. On Broadway.
On Broadway is pretty awesome club, we got there around 11 at night after having a quick dinner at Happy Sushi, pretty dece sushi place. The team at On Broadway where: Rhea, Chona, Kayla, Kayla's bf Vince, Christina, and I. Rhea's friends: Valerie, Val's bf, Val's bf's friend, Andrea, Andrea bf, Rhea's brothers (2), Rhea's brother's gf and best friend.

Chona was a totally awesome wing man. I was supposed to find her a guy to buy her drinks. But instead she bumped into a completely broken English speaking Italian man who was in love with asian women. Chona and Rhea were able to get free drinks from him the whole night. FTW.

Chona and I played the same game Katrina Mora and I played during Chona's birthday a couple months ago, "Have you met Christian?" This game came from 'How I Met Your Mother" with "Have you met Ted?"

Our code names where: Ne-Yo for me, Beyonce for Chona, and Chakira for Rhea.

Chona walked up to some random girl standing with her friends. She grabbed her arm and pulled her aside and asked our first game show

I was able to meet a really petite and cute Filipina girl named Sandra. I wish I had my point and shoot because I would probably forget what she looks like. She was about 5'3" and kinda looked like Kina Kai. She was from San Diego and she was going to leave for Seattle on Tuesday so she was partying it up. She even stated that she gets drunk easily. These are the perfect settings for a perfect hook up. I ordered her a Long island and I ordered myself a Beautiful.

Total mistake. I should have ordered a cocktail as well.

It's really hard to dance when she's holding a almost full cocktail in one hand and her purse and wallet with cellphone in the other. And of course, she did not want to put any of them down. I was getting bored fast, and I wanted to leave. She turned to me and said some shit, I think it was "I'm gonna meet my friend outside." So I buzzed her away like in the Fifth Element and went my way.

After some dancing shenanigans with my sister and Kayla, and some awesome picture lurking with some asian girls with Andrea in which I stood out like I was part of the picture, I re-bumped into Chona, and in this case, I was able to meet some Japanese girl. I forgot what her name was, so I'm just going to call her Haru Juku.

I digress, dancing shenanigans with Kayla and my sister would include ugly dance moves, creepy stalker dancing, intense Latin dancing, and heavy extreme vogue-ing.

Japanese girl.

We followed this Japanese girl for days! First she was in her group of friends who I am going to call black shirt and white dress. And then they decided to move to the dance floor. Chona and I literally followed her the whole club length.

Chona did her thing and left, I throw up my awesome fist and a thumbs up. I danced with J girl for awhile and I asked her to go to the bar with, and she was down. But black shirt kept reeling her back in. She was the odd girl out because white dress was already grinding on some guy.

After some attempts some dude pulls me aside and says, "Hey, I'll get at the girl in the black so you can get at the J-girl."

Awesome.

We shook hands and swooped in. J-girl kept coming to dance with me, but the other guy failed at trying to get at black shirt. After a couple of songs, black shirt got fed up and gathered the entire flock together and moved them deeper into the dance floor.

Thanks for the cock block black shirt. I peaced out to the new wingman, and he told me that he still going to work at black shirt. I hope you had good luck on your side buddy.

Afterwards I bumped into Valerie, a cute girl but crazy. I don't want to put her on blast here. But we talked about how long it was taking for her friend to get her water.

Then I met up with Chona again and she introduced me to another fine chick. I don't think we exchanged names, but anways. She was walking to some point and Chona stopped her mid track. Chona did her thing, but it was weird, because she looking for a friend. Some chit chat here and there, and the I buzzed her off 5th element style.

The night ended somehow, and for some reason we all woke up back at Rhea's place still fully dressed and even the girls had all their make up on.

Time to get ready to hit up a beach and then D and B's later tonight.
